第十八章 道废规乱

大道废，有仁义；智慧出，有大伪；六亲不和，有孝慈；国家昏乱，有忠臣。

Chaos Follows

When the Great Tao was abandoned, philanthropy and morality appear;

When human intelligence on greediness is used,

great hypocrisies emerge;

When the Family has no harmony,

There were the standards "kind parents" and" filial sons";

When the nation falls into chaos,

Patriotism is born.

大道废驰，便产生人类的仁义。人类后天的智巧扩滋生，欺诈虚假就自然出现。

六亲间因私利不和，孝与慈得以彰显。国家混乱不堪，才需要忠贞的臣子。
